The Atrocity Exhibition, J.G. Ballard. First UK Edition, First Printing. With chapters titled "Why I Want to Fuck Ronald Reagan", "Plans for the Assassination of Jacqueline Kennedy", and "Love and Napalm: Export USA", and by associating the Kennedy assassination with a sexual or sporting event, the book remains controversial, particularly in the US. Doubleday actually destroyed all their first edition copies, fearing legal action, and the the true first US edition wasn't published until 1972 by Grove Press.

London: Jonathan Cape Ltd, 1970. A very good copy in a very good dust jacket. Binding is sturdy, with a hint of leaning and a small dampstain to top corner of texblock. The first few pages show a minor waviness. Jacket is clipped, with a publisher's price sticker affixed, and the spine shows light tanning. Overall, a very presentable copy of this scarce title.
